About Yindii

Eat your way to saving the planet! 🌍💰

Yindii is a food-rescue app focused on reducing food waste by connecting users with discounted surplus food from local stores, bakeries, and restaurants. Available in Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Singapore, Yindii allows users to purchase “surprise food bags” containing unsold yet fresh and high-quality food items, often at 50–80% off their regular prices. These bags include items like pastries, salads, and groceries from well-known stores such as Délifrance, Duke Bakery, Edith Patisserie, PAUL Bakery, SaladStop!, Supergreen, and The Providore, among others.

The environmental benefits of Yindii are significant. Each set of rescued food helps prevent about 2.5 kg of CO₂ emissions. By rescuing over 240,000 meals to date (Oct 2024), the app has saved more than 600,000 kg of CO₂ emissions, making a measurable impact on reducing the carbon footprint of food waste in these cities.

For effective use of the Yindii app, users can explore the app to select nearby stores offering “surprise bags” and receive real-time alerts on available deals. Given the discount structure, it’s a cost-effective way to reduce food waste and access fresh food. Users can also support their eco-friendly efforts by opting for in-store pickups, further reducing emissions from delivery transport.
