Redeeming Heymax Max Miles for World of Hyatt Points
Heymax has changed the process for cash-for-miles redemption which World of Hyatt falls under.
The new process is as follows:
- Customer purchases the miles or points by themselves, using their own credit card
- Customer submits an online form with the number of points purchased, as well as proof of purchase
- Heymax will reimburse in cash via PayNow within five business days.
One plus point of this new process is that you get to use your own credit card to purchase, an opportunity to earn additional cashback or miles. Check out our credit card sign-up deals.
The entire process takes a few business days so act early if you plan to use the points to book a hotel stay for an upcoming trip.
Timeline:
- 27 Jun 2024: Submitted request to redeem Max Miles
- From the web portal, select: “Redeem Max Miles -> Travel -> Transfer Miles -> Cash-for-Miles”
- 27 Jun 2024 2:33pm: Received email acknowledgement
Thank you for requesting a Max Miles redemption! Our team will reach out to you within two business days to request additional information and fulfil your redemption.
- 27 Jun 2024 3:54pm: Received email requesting for following information:
- Number of Max Miles to redeem: minimum amount is 10,000 Max Miles
- Name of transfer partner: World of Hyatt in my case.
- Transfer partner membership number: e.g. Frequent flyer/Hotel membership number
- Confirmation of first and last name (as of name registered with transfer partner)
- 3 Jul 2024 2:19pm: Received email that provided me with the details of a one-time use virtual credit card to purchase points directly from the World of Hyatt official points purchase portal
- I had wanted to redeem 13,000 Max Miles. At that time, Hyatt was offering 20% bonus points for purchases, and I was instructed by Heymax staff to purchase 11,000 World of Hyatt points with the virtual credit card. Together with the bonus, I received 13,200 World of Hyatt points - 200 points more than I expected!
- The purchased points were credited into my World of Hyatt account immediately.
- 3 Jul 2024 5:55pm: Received email from Heymax to follow up the deduction of Max Miles in my Heymax account
Following up on this cash for miles redemption, we noticed you have made your 13,000 World of Hyatt points purchase from the virtual card previously issued. We have deducted 13,000 Max Miles from your heymax account registered to email (xxxx@xxxx.com).
